The CPI of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District approved, last week, a request for access to all the documents that the Presidency of the Republic produced on the acts of January 8, which culminated in the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers in Brasilia. The request appears in the CLDF Diary of this Monday (13) (see in full).

Approved by five votes, the request also requests that the headquarters of the Executive Branch provide the images of the internal and external security circuit of the depredated places starting with two hours in advance. DF parliamentarians will also request the Attorney General’s Office (AGU) to provide full copies of all civil and criminal actions that have the body as active pole.

In addition to the images of the Executive Power, the CPI also approved a request for the Army Command to provide images of the demonstrators’ camp set up in front of the Headquarters, in the period between the 6th and 9th of January. It was on this last day that 1,200 people were arrested by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The deputies that make up the CPI also approved a request asking for clarification on the departure of the former Secretary of Public Security for the DF, Anderson Torres, on vacation during the period in which the acts of vandalism took place. The former number 1 of the portfolio will also have to provide clarifications to the parliamentarians in a reserved meeting scheduled for this Thursday (16) – however, the STF scheduled for the same day his testimony on the draft of the decree that he would supposedly try to invalidate the result of the 2022 presidential elections.

The Secretariat for Public Security will also have to provide full copies of the Intelligence Report prepared on January 6, on the arrival of more demonstrators in Brasília and what was found out about their intentions, and of the Military Police’s security plan for that end. of week.
