Manaus (AM) – State deputy João Luiz (Republicans) warned this Tuesday (5), in the plenary session of Ruy Araújo, of the Amazonas Legislative Assembly (Aleam), about traffic accidents involving rollovers and jamming of vehicles that are occurring on the BR-319 highway, because of the lack of asphalting on the interstate.
“This puts the lives of people traveling on the BR-319 highway at risk. We ask here that the International Relations Center of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Nuriam/Aleam) can have space to debate this issue and we are attentive to the demands of the population”,
said deputy João Luiz.
The parliamentarian highlighted that they sent him images of accidents along the interstate highway, which occurred last weekend.
“This is unacceptable and in no way can we remain silent in the face of these situations”,
highlighted the Republican.
During the Great Session in the Legislative Branch, the president of Aleam, deputy Roberto Cidade (UB) and deputies Adjuto Afonso (UB), Alessandra Campelo (Podemos), Sinésio Campos (PT), Rozenha (PMB), Thiago Abrahim (UB) and Commander Dan (Podemos) congratulated congressman João Luiz for once again bringing the subject of the BR-319 highway to the plenary of the Legislative House.
Work
In February this year, deputy João Luz traveled more than 690 kilometers by car from Manaus to the municipality of Humaitá, on an extensive schedule along the interstate highway BR-319, which connects Amazonas to Rondônia. The parliamentarian highlighted that the objective of the trip was to talk, listen to demands, and experience the daily lives of residents and workers on the highway.
