The seal is prohibited for companies that are not regularly established in the state.

Bill No. 193/2024, authored by deputy Thiago Abrahim (União Brasil), is being processed in the Amazonas Legislative Assembly (Aleam), which establishes the Friendly Company Seal for the Social Reinsertion of Chemical Dependents in the State.

“It is important that we have a different look at the reintegration of drug addicts into the job market. The article proposes the seal as a motivation for legal companies to hire people who face or have faced chemical dependency”, said Thiago.

According to the person proposing the article, it will be the prerogative of the company that joins the program to use the Friendly Company Seal for the Social Reinsertion of Drug Dependents in advertising pieces and mention in official promotional publications.

“To grant the seal, the company must offer psychological and social assistance to employees; adoption of strategies aimed at controlling the company’s organizational climate; provision of educational programs to raise awareness about preventing the abusive use of alcohol and other drugs, among others”, explained Abrahim.

Also according to Thiago Abrahim, the seal is prohibited for companies that are not regularly installed in Amazonas; in good standing with the Federal Revenue Service; in compliance with municipal, state, federal and international legislation in force for the exercise of its economic activities; and ultimately condemned by the Brazilian courts for slave and/or child labor.
