Manaus (AM) – State deputy João Luiz (Republicans) participated this Monday (22), with the governor of Amazonas, Wilson Lima, in the delivery of 100 thousand tambaqui fingerlings, 45 tons of food acquired by the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) for institutions of Manaus, 8.7 thousand coffee and citrus seedlings, Primary Producer Cards, aerators and promotion of the “+ Sustainable Energy Credit” program at the Eurípedes Ferreira Lins Multipurpose Park, located on the BR-174 highway.

“This important action carried out by the Government of Amazonas will benefit approximately 500 rural producers in the capital and metropolitan region. We reaffirm our commitment to the primary sector, with special attention to agriculture and fishing, where we have already invested R$3.3 million, through parliamentary amendments in the period from 2020 to 2023”, said deputy João Luiz.

Governor Wilson Lima highlighted that he reinforces the commitment to the primary sector in the state of Amazonas.

“I really believe in the primary sector, in the workforce of each one of you, they are people who wake up very early, who get up early and who involve the whole family in this activity. My commitment could not be other than to work together with all my staff. So that we could provide the necessary conditions for things to actually happen, at such a time, necessary for the production chains to be very significant for our state”,

said the governor of Amazonas.

During the action, the Institute for Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam) also received seven boats with 100 HP engines, computers and other equipment.

The event was attended by state deputies, councilors from Manaus, secretaries of the Government of Amazonas and mayors from the interior of the state.

Throughout his mandates in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam), state deputy João Luiz, from 2020 to 2023, invested R$3.3 million in the primary sector. Of this amount, R$2 million was allocated to agriculture and R$1.3 million to fishing, aiming to boost essential activities.

For the year 2024, the parliamentarian reaffirms his commitment to the primary sector, allocating R$2 million to further strengthen agriculture and fishing in the state.
