“It is an important step towards strengthening democracy and popular participation in decision-making.” The words are by state deputy Aldilene Souza, uttered in relation to the itinerant sessions that the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap) has held throughout this year.
In the first semester, there was an extra plenary session, in order, in Santana, Mazagão and Laranjal do Jari. There is also a public hearing in the municipality of Oiapoque, to discuss the still unresolved issue of authorization to prospect for oil and gas on the state’s Atlantic coast.
In this second semester, in order, the municipalities of Porto e Grande and Ferreira Gomes, in the center-west of Amapá, were places of itinerant sessions, last Wednesday and Thursday. Recognizing the importance of the state legislators coming closer to the people, Aldilene Souza congratulated the president of Alap, deputy Alliny Serrão, for the sensitivity and initiative of the itinerant sessions.
Parliamentarian Aldilene also celebrated the positive results of the sessions held on August 30th and 31st, in Porto Grande and Ferreira Gomes, totaling around 30 nominations and requests directed at municipalities, of her authorship alone, serving the areas of infrastructure, urban services , professional qualification, public security, education and health.
“I reinforce my commitment to closely monitor the execution of these proposals presented in the municipalities of Porto Grande and Ferreira Gomes to ensure that communities are served effectively”, concluded congresswoman Aldilene Souza.
