State deputy Thiago Auricchio (PL) was elected this Tuesday (18) president of the Constitution and Justice Commission of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo.

At age 29, he is the son of the mayor of São Caetano do Sul, José Auricchio Jr (PSDB) and will be the youngest president of the CCJ. The commission is the main one in the House, as it is the gateway for all bills.

The parliamentarian received the endorsement of the political coordinator of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), Gilberto Kassab. The father of the new president of the CCJ is negotiating affiliation with the PSD, the party presided over by Kassab nationally.

He also had the support of the President of the Assembly, Deputy André do Prado (PL).

A state deputy in his second term, Auricchio is studying for a master’s degree in constitutional law at the IDP (Institute of Public Law).

“I hope to contribute effectively and with great responsibility to improving the laws and regulations of the State and ensuring that they are applied in a fair and balanced manner, with a special focus on minorities and those most in need,” he said.
