Protesters gather this Sunday morning (4) at Masp, in São Paulo, in the act in support of federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR).
The participants took black balloons as a sign of protest against the impeachment of the parliamentarian, who received the most votes in last year’s elections in Paraná and had his candidacy registration rejected by decision of the Superior Electoral Court.
The act, which has the motto “Democracy, Freedom and Justice”, was attended by parliamentarians such as federal deputies Luiz Felipe de Orleans e Bragança (PL-SP) and Adriana Ventura (Novo-SP).
In a speech to those present at the demonstration, deputy Orleans e Bragança highlighted the need for the presence of social movements in the streets.
“This is fundamental. What matters is going out with constancy. I was present in the movements from the very beginning. What matters is constancy. The number does not matter, the symbology of the event matters”, he said.
“It is for freedom, for democracy, for justice. We’re just getting started. And I guarantee you. This will undoubtedly generate results in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, ”she added.
The parliamentarian also spoke of the importance, according to him, of putting pressure on the so-called centrão deputies through public opinion. “These centrão deputies need public opinion. They are afraid of public opinion, ”he said.
The act continued with a silent walk along Avenida Paulista. According to the demonstrators, to symbolize the mourning for Brazilian democracy. Posters pointed to court decisions against Google and Telegram as signs of the fragility of freedom in the country. The recent visit of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was also criticized.
The biggest act in support of Deltan is scheduled to take place from 3 pm this Sunday (4) in Curitiba-PR, in the Boca Maldita region, downtown.
