Zanatta earlier stated that he must file a representation with the House Ethics Board against Jerry.

She says that the parliamentarian approached her from behind and intimidated her with words spoken close to her ear, in addition to allegedly touching her neck, during a session at the Public Security Commission of the Chamber the day before, which was attended by the Minister of Justice. , Flávio Dino (PSB).

During a session at the Chamber’s Public Security Committee this Wednesday afternoon, the episode of the eve became a reason for a heated argument between deputy Orlando Silva (PC do B-SP) and opposition parliamentarians.

Jerry denies the accusation and says he is a victim of fake news. “I ask for an honest examination of the video of the session, and not the appreciation of the frozen image that generates misrepresentation and fake news”, said the parliamentarian to the column Mônica Bergamo, from the Sheet.

He also said that at the moment there was a heated discussion between Zanatta and deputy Lídice da Mata (PSB-BA).

“I approached her [Zanatta] Respectfully. It is very natural in this parliamentary environment for you to speak a little closer. I spoke a little closer to her and uttered the following sentence: ‘She is a congresswoman [Lídice] with 40 years of experience in this house’.”

Opposition parliamentarians spoke of leniency by government supporters with sexist behavior. The left-wing deputies, on the other hand, said that the PC do B colleague is being the victim of a distortion.

Congressmen defending Jerry point out that Zanatta only shared a clipping of the video – and that this could lead to other interpretations.

Also to the Mônica Bergamo column, the leader of PC do B, Jandira Feghali (RJ), came out in defense of her bench colleague, accused Zanatta of fake news and stated that the party is already studying measures to ask for an investigation against the Bolsonarist deputy.

“She’s an unbalanced person, who creates problems based on untruths, that’s her history,” Feghali told the column. “She froze the image [do vídeo] in a frame that interested her.”

This Wednesday afternoon, the PSB bench in the Chamber released a note in solidarity with Jerry, who “bravely defended Lídice Da Mata from verbal aggression and sexist attacks”.
