Deadline to supplement postponed Fies registration begins this Wednesday (7)

The deadline begins this Wednesday (7) for people who signed up for the Higher Education Student Financing Fund (Fies) and had the process postponed to complete the stage. Participants in the selection process for the first and second semester of 2023 will have only two days – until 11:59 pm (Brasília time) on Friday (9) – to complete the supplement.

During the period, the student must complete registration on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education to begin counting the deadlines for the next steps.

There are five working days to validate the documentation at the Permanent Supervision and Monitoring Committee (CPSA) of the higher education institution (HEI), with the physical or digital delivery of the required documentation. And ten days – counting from the third business day, after the date of registration recognition – to validate the information at the financial agent where the contract will be signed.

Formalization

Only after complying with these procedures will the financing contract be formalized. The contract may be signed digitally, if approved by the IES and the financial agent.

All procedures for completing applications postponed to the first semester of 2024 – referring to the selection processes carried out in the first and second semester of 2023 – were published in a notice from the Ministry of Education, in the Official Gazette of the Union.

According to the document, at all stages it is necessary for the student to pay attention to the deadlines and procedures established in the notice. Changes in the selection process are announced in advance on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education and can also be consulted by the MEC Call Center, on 0800 616161.
