David Almeida participates in the opening ceremony of the Judiciary Year

The opening of the year coincides with the beginning of the new management of the court, which has Nélia Caminha Jorge as president.
Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, participated, this Tuesday (24), in the opening ceremony of the Judiciary Year 2023, held at the headquarters of the Court of Justice of the State of Amazonas (TJ-AM), located in the Aleixo neighborhood, Center-South zone of the city.
“I wish you a successful and successful new year. The Judiciary Year begins with the commitment to serve society and this year could not be different, because it becomes a lot of work and Justice is strengthened as an instrument of citizenship and development”,
Almeida said.
The ceremony was held in a hybrid way – with some of the parliamentarians and part of the invited authorities participating remotely –, under the leadership of the president of the court, judge Nélia Caminha Jorge, who took over the management of the state Judiciary on the last January 2nd.
“Today is the opening of the Judiciary Year and my focus is on judicial delivery and efficiency. I want the Court of Justice of Amazonas to be at a level of excellence, while valuing the career of the judiciary, employees, servants, implementing better working conditions where possible”,
stressed the judge.
The opening of the year coincides with the beginning of the new management of the court, which has Nélia Caminha Jorge as president; judge Joana dos Santos Meirelles, as vice-president; and Judge Jomar Ricardo Saunders Fernandes, as Inspector General of Justice.
