On Tuesday (21), the Court of Barcelona rejected the 39-year-old player’s request for provisional release. For the three judges responsible for the case, Eduardo Navarro, Myriam Linage and Carmen Guil, there was a risk of fleeing to Brazil because of their economic capacity and this weighed in when it came time to deny the appeal. Daniel Alves’ ex also commented that she met Joana Sanz, the player’s current wife. According to her, the Spanish model and businesswoman showed dejection with the whole situation involving her husband.

The security team at the nightclub called the Catalan police (Mossos d’Esquadra), who took a statement from the victim.
