Creation of Autistic School Clinic advances in the Manaus Chamber

Manaus (AM) — The councilors approved during the Plenary Session on Wednesday (13) the creation of the Autism School Clinic in Manaus. The Bill (PL), authored by councilor Wallace Oliveira (DC), went to the Municipal Executive for sanction.

Matter No. 430/2021 provides for the creation of an institution to care for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the training of educators within Manaus. According to the project, the school aims to offer individualized education.

According to article 3 of the PL, in cases of students who are unable to integrate into regular education, they must remain enrolled only in the School Clinic.

“We are taking an important step in this process. The Manaus City Council does not shy away at any time from fully working in defense of this group. I would like to express my gratitude to all the councilors and committees who helped us progress with this project and reach the point we have reached today”,

said Wallace Oliveira.
