The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) opened by the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District approved the summoning of the former Secretary of Public Security of the DF, Anderson Torres, to give testimony. The CPI investigates “the anti-democratic acts that took place in Brasília on December 12th and January 8th”. The decision was approved this Tuesday (14) during the commission’s first session.

The collegiate determined the breach of its banking, tax, telephone and telematic secrecy of Torres and also of the accused of breaking the clock brought by Dom João VI to Brazil. The former Minister of Justice has been in prison since January 14 by determination of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). A date has yet to be set for Torres’ testimony.

In a note, the District Chamber also informed that the summons of the former executive secretary of the SSP-DF, Fernando de Sousa Oliveira, were approved; the former commander of the DF Military Police (PM-DF), Colonel Fábio Augusto Vieira; the former undersecretary of Intelligence of the SSP-DF, Marília Ferreira; the former secretary of the SSP-DF, Júlio de Souza Danilo; the PM-DF colonels, Jorge Eduardo Naime and Marcelo Casimiro Vasconcelos Rodrigues; and the lieutenant colonel of the PM-DF, Jorge Henrique da Silva Pinto.
