Seven deputies will respond to disciplinary proceedings, initiated yesterday afternoon (30), at the Ethics Council of the Chamber of Deputies. The opposition to the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is the majority responding to the processes. There are four deputies: Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), José Medeiros (PL-MT), and Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP). From the governing base, the deputies who will respond to processes in the Ethics Council are Márcio Jerry (PCdoB-MA), Juliana Cardoso (PT-SP), Talíria Petrone (Psol-RJ).

The filed accusations deal with transphobia, threats, sexual harassment and even aggression during House meetings. From now on, the rapporteurs will have 10 working days to present a preliminary opinion, recommending continuation or shelving of the investigation of the alleged breach of decorum.

Most of the clashes that caused the representations are related to the clashes between Lula’s allies and former president Jair Bolsonaro. This is the case, for example, of the representation against Eduardo Bolsonaro due to a disagreement with deputy Marcon (PT-RS), at a meeting of the Labor Commission. The fact was motivated by Marcon, who would have questioned the assassination attempt against former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in 2018. After the provocation, Eduardo Bolsonaro stood up, cursed Marcon and threatened the petista. The two were restrained by colleagues.
