It was enough to circulate the news that politicians from Pará are trying to convince Petrobras to transfer the operational base of the oil prospecting project on the so-called Equatorial Margin from Oiapoque to Belém, for there to be a reaction in Amapá.
The president of the Civil Construction Industry Union (SINDUSCON), engineer Glauco Cei, said that it is not new that important decisions about the future of Amapá are taken against the will of its people and cites the creation of the Montanhas National Park as an example. do Tumucumaque, by then President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, in 2002.

Glauco also calls for a rule to be defined for the licensing of projects like this one by Petrobras and that this can subsidize combos to attract investors to Amapá. “If Amapá is creating difficulties, Pará is taking advantage and offering facilities, they are not wrong”, said Glauco.

“Belém brings together all the necessary logistics infrastructure for the development of the work, such as river and sea access, access to the international airport, highways, hotels, restaurants, in short, the entire cycle and necessary logistical supply”, explains the MP.
