Corinthians awaits the completion of the sweep at Parque São Jorge ordered by President Augusto Melo, as well as a report from the company hired to carry out the service, before taking a report to the authorities about the spying equipment found in the presidency room.

People close to the president told the Sheet that only after the end of the inspection will he adopt the appropriate measures.

On Thursday (11), former black and white president Duilio Monteiro Alves said that it was “inadmissible” that the current administration had not yet informed the police about what had happened. Furthermore, he himself took the initiative to file a police report.

In a note, the SSP (Public Security Secretariat) confirmed this Friday (12) the registration of the BO. The organization does not say whether it was Duilio who made the registration, but the information indicates that he is the former president of Corinthians.

“The case was registered as a telephone interception at the Electronic Police Station. The victim, a 48-year-old man [mesma idade do dirigente]reported that spying equipment was discovered in the room where he worked, when he held the position of president of a football club”, says the statement sent to the reporter by the organization.

Report from Sheet published on Wednesday (10) revealed that at least three cameras and bugs were found on the floor where the presidency room is located and where meetings also take place with other club directors and advisors.

The team’s press office confirmed the information obtained by the report from three different sources and, in a short note, said only that “Corinthians’ new administration regrets, but is not surprised by what happened.”

One of the pieces of equipment was behind the screen of a painting behind Augusto’s desk. Another was found in a socket switch, and the third, under the presidential secretary’s desk.

So far, the president of Corinthians has chosen not to file a police report. According to people close to the top hat interviewed by the report, he fears being accused of having planted the equipment himself to create news.
