The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies should install this week, starting on Tuesday (13), five more joint commissions for the initial analysis of provisional measures sent by the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). The mechanism, which had its return determined in March by President Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), caused friction with Arthur Lira (PP-AL), who presides over the Chamber and had the attribution of initiating discussions of the MPs during the pandemic.
Among the provisional measures that should be created by the mixed commissions are two of maximum interest to the government, such as the one that implemented the minimum wage of R$ 1,320 and the expansion of the income tax exemption range for those who earn up to R$ 2,112 per month .
A commission should also be installed that will discuss the provisional measure that readjusted the salaries of civil servants of the Executive by 9% and food allowance by 43%.
Another provisional measure considered important by the government resumed the paralyzed works and services in the area of education, with the release of BRL 4 billion until 2026 for the completion of 3,500 unfinished school structures.
And, finally, the MP that extended by one year the deadline for the Executive Branch to regulate worker food programs, which would end in May.
