Conar asks for change in Buson ticket announcement – 03/13/2023 – Panel SA

On the eve of Consumer Week, a date that has gained a tradition of discounts in Brazilian retailers, Conar (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation) recommended that the Buson bus ticket ecommerce company change an ad that ran on Black Friday last year.

As described by the agency, the advertisement promised discounts of up to 80% on tickets purchased during Black Friday. The complainant consumer, however, realized that the benefit was limited to some criteria that were not exposed in the message, says Conar.

Also according to the council, Buson had not yet presented a defense until last Thursday (9), when the decision was taken in the first instance at the meeting of the 2nd Chamber of the Conar Ethics Council.

Sought by Panel SA, Buson did not respond until the publication of this text.
