Registrations

Those pre-selected in the selection process must complete their registration information by March 26th, via the Single Access Portal

The stage of supplementing the information provided when registering for the Student Financing Fund (Fies) selection process, for the first semester of 2024, begins this Friday, March 22nd, and runs until the 26th of the same month. Those pre-selected in the single call for the selection process must complete the procedure through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.

After completion, the candidate must validate the information declared at the time of registration. The deadline for validation is up to five working days after the date of completing the registration, which must be carried out directly at the higher education institution for which the student was pre-selected.

In this edition of the program, more than 67 thousand places were offered, destined for 1,260 private higher education institutions. In 2024, unlike other years, 50% of vacancies are reserved for Fies Social, aimed at serving people with a family income of up to half the minimum wage and who are registered in the Federal Government’s Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico). With the change, this group will also be able to finance up to 100% of educational costs.

Waiting list – Candidates not pre-selected in the single call of the Fies selection process will automatically appear on the waiting list, for the purpose of filling vacancies that may be unoccupied, observing the type of vacancy and the order of classification as provided for in Notice No. 10/2024 , which deals with the schedule and other procedures for Fies 2024/1. The possible pre-selection of candidates participating in the waiting list will take place during the period from March 28th to April 30th, on the Single Access Portal.

Fies Social – From 2024, with Fies Social, the MEC aims to resume the social role of student financing, as it is intended to meet the needs of low-income students. In this way, it plays a transformative role in society, by offering better conditions for obtaining financing under Fies.

Fies – The Student Financing Fund, established by Law No. 10,260, of 2001, offers places for financing undergraduate courses in non-free institutions participating in it, as long as such courses obtain a positive evaluation in the National Higher Education Assessment System (Sinaes).
