The electric fleet is expected to exceed 35 million vehicles from 2027 to 2040

Manaus (AM) — Amid the transition movement to electric vehicles in Brazil, with a focus on a more sustainable future, companies innovate and advance in solutions, services and technology to serve the market. After all, the prospects are optimistic. The electric fleet is expected to exceed 35 million vehicles from 2027 to 2040, according to a projection made by Strategy&, a strategic consultancy at PwC Brasil.

Attentive to business opportunities, Nansen, based in Contagem (MG), is at the forefront of large projects in the area of electric mobility. In Cascavel (PR), where the first bus terminal will be built, the company will be responsible for providing complete charging infrastructure for the public transport sector.

For 2024, Nansen foresees a busy year starting in Manaus, where the company will also deliver a project aimed at implementing charging infrastructure for public transport.

According to Nansen’s Electric Mobility manager, Flávio Pimenta, the project includes three charging points. One of them is the electroterminal, with capacity to charge up to 14 vehicles at the same time, in addition to two additional charging terminals along the route.

Regarding the powers of the chargers, they vary. “The project includes 360kW, 240kW and 180kW chargers. All equipment with double CCS2 connection”, explains the manager.

Nansen will supply, on a turn-key basis, the project with all recharging equipment and substation infrastructure.

“The complete recharging infrastructure will be provided, from project definitions, substation equipment, medium and low voltage infrastructure, Nansen chargers, and even the recharging system management software”,

highlights Pimenta.

According to the manager, mobilization of the project has already started and delivery will be in mid-May. “Nansen has so far built the largest public charging terminals in Brazil. We are in cities like São José dos Campos, Manaus, Salvador and now Cascavel. We have supported several cities and transport operators in the design, design and construction of electric mobility projects.”

According to Pimenta, Nansen has become a reference in charging infrastructure for buses used in public transport over the last two years.
