The Municipal Coordination of Sport and Leisure (Eat) started a project to implement the practice of martial arts in Macapá. Last week, material such as tatami mats was delivered to the CEU’s of Arts in the South and North Zone, as well as to the city centres. Comel provides a suitable place to practice the sport.
Classes will be open to the public at CEU’s and at the center. The modalities offered will be: Taekwondo, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing and Olympic Wrestling.
The project will also offer support to municipal schools Antônio Barbosa, José Leoves Teixeira, Hildemar Maia and some other teaching institutions that will receive materials such as tatami, kimono and the presence of monitors to guide students.
The intention is to give students a chance to have contact with the sport that teaches about discipline, focus, beyond and to develop a better reflex.
Students will be able to participate in the modalities in the counter-shift of classes, being able to use this chance to become professional in the sport or just practice it as a daily exercise.
