Clécio presents economic and social impacts of the 52nd Expofeira – News of Brazil

Governor Clécio Luís presented this Friday, 20th, at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park, the economic and social impacts generated during and after the 52nd Expofeira do Amapá, which took place from September 29th to October 8th. On the occasion, the values ​​of busy businesses, job and income generation and public and private investments were shown.

The results exhibition event was attended by, in addition to the press, which according to the governor also played an important role in publicizing the 52nd Expofeira, other authorities involved in holding the event, such as Jurandil Juarez, from Agência Amapá; Valdinei Amanajás, Setrap; Kelson Vaz, from SDR; Richard Madureira, who coordinated the event, as well as vice-governor Teles Júnior.

“We are here to take stock, account for the results and effects of Expofeira. It was an absolute success, it was the biggest public event ever held in 80 years of Amapá, in all aspects. It starts with the occupancy of hotels: there were five thousand vacancies occupied, the largest in history. Almost six thousand jobs were created. Of the sum of resources invested, part was spent on permanent works, such as paving and earthworks.”reported Clecio.

The governor also highlighted the reconstruction of the Fazendinha Exhibition Park, which according to him will remain in the coming years as “permanent investment”. Regarding turnover, he said: “To assemble the structure, there was a pre-fair investment of around R$46 million, including public and private. We had R$85 million in business, the resources of which were circulated during the ten days of the Expofeira”.

“Deals were closed here, others were organized during the Expofeira, which are being implemented now. In total, we will have more than R$500 million in business generated throughout the Expofair. We made a calculation that every real invested in the event will bring an immediate return of R$4.45; in the long term, 27 reais. Businesses that were launched here are producing their effects”concluded Clécio Luís.

“We were very happy, as Expofeira fulfilled its role, which was to boost business. There is the rescue of the Exhibition Park as a state instrument for promoting public policies. The effective economic result is visible, just talk to the entrepreneurs who were here. Expofeira generated an internal and external multiplier effect”celebrated the vice-governor Teles Junior.

During the ten days of the 52nd Expofair, more than 2.2 million visitors visited the Exhibition Park, consuming services, products and entertainment from Amapá companies. The largest number of visitors in a single day, according to Clécio, was for the musical attraction ‘Carabao’. Per day, the average number of visitors was approximately 200 thousand, exceeding the expected number, which was just over 100 thousand.
