The municipal secretary of planning, budget and information technology, Fernanda Cabral, reported that on Monday, the 17th, the city hall met with teachers and health personnel, at the first negotiating table after the linear increase of 6% granted last Friday, the 14th, to public servants.
Saying that a hallmark of Mayor Furlan is dialogue, the secretary recalled that the municipal management has been talking to the categories since the beginning of the mandate, three years ago. At this first moment, only the replacement of the 6% inflation was given, but the table remains open for negotiations on the existing guidelines.
Fernanda Cabral recognizes that the Union of Municipal Servants is right when it says that “the account did not close”but that is why the city hall is negotiating. “What we can concede today is a 6% increase; It’s what fits within the budget. We cut income and expenses so that this increase could be accommodated without harming other administration services”he pointed out.
The secretary said that everything was transparent for the increase, so much so that the civil servants understood that at the moment this is what the city hall is able to pay, without paying in installments. “We see this as another investment. With this server increase, there will be no interruption of city hall services and we will pay them without having to pay in installments. It is a great investment that Doctor Furlan is making today at the head of the municipal administration”he said Fernanda.
The head of planning, budget and information technology also recalled that this is the second consecutive year that the city hall has given an increase to civil servants, totaling 16.06%, 10.06% in 2022, and 6% now in 2023. Fernanda Cabral he also noted that in these three years of Furlan’s term, this is the first time that the category has received progression and promotion.
