Citizen Chamber: more than 170 services will be made available to the population of Amazonas

Manaus (AM) — The 4th edition of the Citizen Chamber, which takes place this Thursday and Friday (11th and 12th) at the Manaus Sambadrome, will have more than 170 services available free of charge to the population of the capital of Amazonas. The action will involve more than 50 partners from the public and private sector, bringing together bodies, associations, companies and institutes that support the project.

Among the main services are scheduling a National Identity Card (CIN), registration with Sine Manaus, referral to job opportunities, issuing an Easy Pass, issuing an Identification Card for Persons with Disabilities (CIPcD), issuing an intercity card – Pass Legal, license and vehicle services, and issuance of parking passes for the elderly and People with Disabilities.

In the health area, services will be offered such as consultation with a general practitioner, psychological and physiotherapeutic care, social and clinical assistance, child speech therapy, blood pressure measurement, rapid testing for syphilis, HIV and hepatitis B and C, relaxing massage, cupping therapy, testing blood glucose testing, haircut, bioimpedance assessment, eye exam, pilates and zumba classes.

Services for pets include veterinary consultation, nail cutting, ear cleaning, grooming and deworming.

In addition to these, legal assistance, debt renegotiation with water and electricity concessionaires, payment of municipal taxes, among other services, will be offered, all free of charge.

This will be the first action of 2024 in the capital, designed by the president of the Manaus City Council (CMM), councilor Caio André (União Brasil). Seeking to bring the municipal parliament closer to the people, the Citizen Chamber has brought together, since its first edition, in 2023, a vast program of services including areas such as citizenship, health, beauty, entrepreneurship, social assistance, as well as legal and psychosocial guidance, among others.

The president of CMM, Caio André, stated that the technical teams, responsible for assembly and organization, are in the final adjustments for the 4th edition at the Sambadrome. The Convention Center will receive a structure that will divide partners and services, providing more convenience for the population attending the Citizen Chamber.

“Since the first Citizen Chamber, we have been trying to improve the project, both in terms of service, as the public has exceeded expectations with each edition, and in relation to the range of services. What we observe is that each service is essential because it will always be someone’s need, hence everyone’s effort and dedication”,

stated Caio André.

Partners

Bodies from the Federal Government, State Government, Manaus City Hall, companies, associations, universities and institutes are confirmed for the 4th edition of the Citizen Chamber. One of the new features is the joining of efforts with the Amazonas Legislative Assembly (ALE-AM), the Federal Revenue Service, the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Amazonas (DPE-AM) and the Amazonas Court of Justice (TJAM).

The Legislative House will offer services through the Ombudsman’s Office, Women’s Attorney’s Office, Consumer Protection Commission, Legislative School and Sports Directorate.

The State Government will have actions in the project with the participation of 12 bodies: State Secretariat for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti); Executive Secretariat for Labor and Entrepreneurship (Setemp); Social Promotion and Poverty Eradication Fund (FPS); Consumer Protection Institute (Procon-AM); State Housing Superintendence (Suhab); and State Department of Traffic of Amazonas (Detran-AM).

In addition to these, the Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc) also participates; Amazonas State Development Agency (Afeam); State Secretariat for Social Assistance (Seas); Amazonas Sanitation Company (Cosama); Dra. Rosemary Costa Pinto Health Surveillance Foundation (FVS-AM) and Amazonas Technological Education Center (Cetam).

Through Manaus City Hall, services will be made available by the Municipal Department of Labor, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Semtepi); Municipal Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (Semmas); Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU); Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Citizenship (Semasc); Municipal Finance Secretariat (Semef); and Union of Passenger Transport Companies of the State of Amazonas (Sinetram).

Also confirmed are Claro Manaus, Amazonas Protest Institute, PCD Institute – Together We Are Stronger, Association of Amazonian Women in the Community (Amac), Lutheran University Center of Manaus (Ulbra), Sebrae Amazonas, Senac, Technical Education Center (Centec ), Centro Universitário do Norte (Uninorte), Faculdade Martha Falcão Wyden, Faculdade Estácio, Universidade Nilton Lins.

In addition to these, the event will be Eco Cooperativa de Trabalho de Materials Recicláveis ​​do Amazonas, AM Cash Capital, Foto Digital, Ótica Bahia, Association of Civil Registrars of Natural People of Amazonas (Arpen), sale of crafts and biojewelry with Janete Cordeiro de Souza, in addition to the concessionaires Águas de Manaus and Amazonas Energia.

Popular Tribune

Giving citizens a voice, a Popular Tribune is also confirmed in this edition of the project. It is a way for the population to present community demands to all parliamentarians. Demands are forwarded by CMM to the competent bodies, to enable the solution of problems presented by community members.

Aleam

The Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) will participate in the 4th edition of the “Citizen Chamber”, facilitating the population’s access to the services offered by the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women, the Consumer Protection Commission (CDC) and the Escola do Legislativo Senador José Lindoso da Casa.

The coordinator of the Legislative School, Adriana Pimentel, explains that the State Legislative Parliament joins other partners that will reinforce the project, such as the Federal Revenue Service and the Amazonas Court of Justice (TJAM), among others.

“In the name of President Roberto Cidade (UB), we want to bring the population closer to the Legislative Assembly, the Casa do Povo, and aim to improve the quality of life of citizens”, explains the coordinator.

Aleam will have a stand at the event, where registrations can be made for IT and basic English courses. There will be 80 places for this last course and 40 places for basic IT. The courses will last one week, taking place on the premises of the Legislative School, with certificates at the end of the classes.

Pimentel also informs that on Thursday morning (12), physical educators from the Aleam sports department will hold zumba and pilates classes for those present at the event, seeking to encourage the population to practice physical activities.

Technicians from the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Women will assist women who seek support and legal guidance on gender-based or domestic violence or discrimination against women. Consumers who need guidance can seek support from CDC-Aleam.
