The objective of the presentations in schools is to interact with the community, stimulate and encourage studies, helping with the appreciation of culture and the arts.

Manaus (AM) — Circo Caboclo, an independent company from Amazonas, will perform, this Monday (27) and Tuesday (28), an adapted presentation of a circus show in two public schools in Manaus. The project is part of the “Floating Experience — Acrobatic Show”, an artistic proposal that mixes acrobatics, dance, music and performance on stage.

The first school to receive Circo Caboclo will be the Ernesto Pinho Filho State School, this Monday (27), the educational institution is located in the Cidade Nova neighborhood, North Zone of Manaus. On Tuesday (28), the independent company will hold a presentation at the Zilda Arns Neumann State School, in the Nova Cidade neighborhood, in the North Zone.

The “Floating Experience — Acrobatic Show” is sponsored by Banco da Amazônia. With the support of the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam), the Dance, Circus Activities and Gymnastics Program (Prodagin) and Studio W, a musical instruments studio that unites sustainability and passion for music.

The objective of the presentations in schools is to interact with the community, stimulate and encourage studies, helping to value culture and the arts. Contributing to the efforts conducted by public schools for social transformation, through education and culture.

“We are going to play this role of making our show accessible and in a training and education space. The appreciation of a show is an activity that collaborates with the formation of students, an educational activity that is part of education, through culture. In this activity, we will take the show to a place that is not central, where it is not common for artistic activities like this to arrive. Our expectation is a good reception, we also expect an interesting experience for us and for the students, who will enjoy the show. In schools, there is all the work to decentralize presentations and collaboration in student education, in addition to accessibility by allowing these people to be able to enjoy an artistic circus show in their schools”,

explains acrobat Jean Winder.

According to Circo Caboclo’s producer, Amanda Magaiver, the proposal is to bring a show to students from the outlying areas of Manaus, where residents often have no contact in their daily lives. Amanda says that it is a goal of the independent company to also contribute as educators in the artistic field.

“The initiative of the floating experience project, with the support of the Basa bank, is a starting point for Cia Circo Caboclo, whose members mostly graduated from public schools on the outskirts of Manaus. This kind of action is what we would have liked to have had when we were teenagers, it is our giving back to our roots. We are already thinking about other activities to strengthen this relationship with schools on the outskirts of Manaus. We are a group also formed by art educators, this is one of our concerns as social counterparts”,
