Report of ‘rachadinha’

Federal deputy was accused by former advisors of requesting the return of part of their salary

The Ethics Council of the Chamber of Deputies initiated, this Wednesday (13), during a session, impeachment proceedings against federal deputy André Janones (Avante). The parliamentarian is accused of practicing ‘cracks’, after the release, in November, of audios asking his advisors to return part of their salary.

Deputy Leur Lomanto Júnior (UB), president of the collegiate, drew the names of the three parliamentarians who will make up the list for choosing the rapporteur: Emanuel Pinheiro Neto (MDB-MT), Guilherme Boulos and Sidney Leite (PSD-AM). The president of the collegiate will decide, based on the triple list, who will report on the revocation.

The Ethics Council has a consultative nature, that is, it can only make recommendations, without being able to deliberate on the revocation. The process will be discussed in 2024.

Signed by the national president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, the request was filed on the 28th. The recording of the deputy’s charge was made by a former advisor, but Janones says he will prove that the speech was taken out of context.
