The internal affairs department of the Chamber of Deputies notified Federal Deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR), this Tuesday (23), of the opening of the impeachment process after the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) rejected the candidacy registration in the 2022 election.
The notification was published in the Official Gazette of the Union after the parliamentarian was not found for the formal delivery of the document, as provided for in the house’s internal regulations (see in full).
The notification signed by Deputy Domingos Neto (PSD-CE), House Corregidor, still gives a period of five working days for Dallagnol to express himself in writing in the case file on the decision. The parliamentarian was sought by the People’s Gazettebut has not yet commented on the notification.
Neto will have 30 days to present the report on the impeachment process. The Chamber’s internal regulations provide that the investigation proceeds in secrecy until the end of the procedure or if the President of the Chamber decides otherwise.
Last Sunday (21), Dallagnol participated in a demonstration in Curitiba in favor of his mandate in the Chamber of Deputies, and criticized the decision of the TSE. “They want to steal our voice, but we will fight for justice,” he declared.
