CBF will wait for positive signal from Ancelotti until the end of May

Dream of consumption of the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, the coach Carlo Ancelotti remains the favorite to take charge of the Brazilian national team. But, little by little, Ednaldo begins to evaluate the possibility of having to resort to a plan B. With the yes or no of the Italian who currently runs Real Madrid, the manager hopes to define Tite’s replacement by the end of next month.

So far, the CBF has made no formal invitation to Ancelotti, who is focused on taking Real to another Champions League final – the team will face Manchester City. The team still has the Copa del Rey decision in Spain ahead of them and, mathematically, they are still fighting for the league.

“We are in that situation, which is really moving forward. We are going to look and, within the month of May, I believe that even before the selection is called up – which should take place on May 25th -, we already have a clearer position on regarding the coach of the Brazilian national team”, said Ednaldo this Tuesday, shortly after presenting the CBF’s financial results in 2022.

The Champions League final is scheduled for June 10, and it is not entirely ruled out that, if Real advance to the decision, the CBF will wait a few more weeks to announce its coach. But, for that, the organization hopes to receive at least some positive signal from Ancelotti. Otherwise, you can even leave to evaluate other names.

“I always have a plan B, but it’s not the president’s choice. From the moment we have a commitment to the whole of Brazilian society, we also have to listen to the clamors of both you, the press, and society. it also guides us. Therefore, this plan B I just want to put into practice from the moment that plan A does not work”, maintained Ednaldo.
