CBF makes special preparation for referees before the Copa do Brasil

The constant refereeing errors during the season, reinforced by strong complaints from clubs and players, led the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to anticipate the concentration of referees chosen to referee the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil. They will undergo special preparation to minimize the risk of failure.
The professionals will undergo training in the field, to be carried out at the Clube da Aeronáutica, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of athletes to simulate real game situations. Simultaneously, video assistant referees will carry out activities at the Brazilian Arbitration Center of Excellence (CEAB).
In the concentration, the referees will also receive food, physical, tactical and psychological preparation. In all, 19 referees will participate in training, the 14 that will be in the semifinals, in addition to five guests.
The first semifinal will be between Corinthians and São Paulo, this Tuesday, at 9:30 pm, at the Neo Química Arena. The game will be refereed by Wilton Pereira Sampaio (GO), who will have as his assistants: Bruno Pires (GO), Nailton Junior (CE) and Yuri Elino (RJ). They will be in VAR: Rodrigo Guarizo (SP), Alisson Furtado (TO) and Fabricio Porfirio (SP).
The match between Grêmio and Flamengo, which will take place this Wednesday, at 21:30, at the Arena do Grêmio, will have referee Raphael Claus (SP) on the whistle, with Bruno Boschilia (PR), Guilherme Camilo (MG) and João Gobi (SP) as assistants. The video referees will be Igor Benevenuto (MG), Dyorgenes Padovani (ES) and Fabrício Vilarinho (GO).
