The total CBF award will be R$ 416.9 million among the 92 participating clubs. This amount represents an increase of 19% in relation to the amount of the 2022 Copa do Brasil (R$ 350.5 million). Twelve teams enter only the third phase. They are Flamengo, Palmeiras, Internacional, Fluminense, Corinthians, Athletico, Atlético-MG, Fortaleza, São Paulo, Cruzeiro, Sport and Paysandu.
prize distribution
After claims from Serie B clubs and those with lower investments, the entity changed the form of distribution of the tournament’s prize pool. In case of advancement in the first phase, for example, the team will earn R$ 750 thousand.
The distribution of prizes takes place according to the division that the team operates. To receive an amount close to R$ 91.8 million, the club needs to be from Série A and start the tournament from the first phase. Among the twelve clubs that will debut only in the third phase, the prize for the title reaches R$ 88.7 million.

Change in amounts
The award just for winning the final increased by R$ 10 million compared to last year, going from R$ 60 million to R$ 70 million. Defending champion Flamengo, for example, raised a total of R$76.8 million in the 2022 Copa do Brasil title campaign.
The increase in the award is mainly due to the new contract for broadcasting rights for the Copa do Brasil. In August 2022, Globo and CBF announced the renewal of the agreement for the period 2023-2026. The broadcaster won the competition and secured the rights to open and pay TV (SporTV) and streaming. That last slice will be sublicensed in part to Amazon.
