Cauxi Electrizado leads carnival group in Manaus

The band reaches the 12th edition of the block with new versions in frevo rhythm in the repertoire
Manaus (AM) — The band Cauxi Eletrizado reaches the 12th edition of the block with new versions in frevo rhythm in the repertoire. The party takes place this Monday (12), starting at 5pm, at the Clube do Trabalhador (Avenida Cosme Ferreira, 7399).
Tickets are on sale for R$50, on the Sympla website (sympla.com.br). The structure has a food court, bars and Instagrammable spaces.
Formed by members of Alaídenegão, Cabocrioulo and Tucumanus, the band Cauxi Eletrizado emerged together with the block, in 2012, with reference to the memory of the old Carnival blocks, with a repertoire of traditional marchinhas, frevos and reinterpretations of classics.
According to the singer and one of the founders of Cauxi Eletrizado, Davi Escobar, this year, the repertoire for two hours of presentation pays homage to Chico Science, from Pernambuco and one of the founders of the mangue beat movement in the 90s, with a version of the song “ Praieira”. In 2024, he celebrated 27 years without the artist, victim of a car accident.
“We also have versions of hits by Belchior, Joelma, Marina Sena and Paralamas”,
highlights the musician.
Clóvis Rodrigues, lead singer of Tucumanus and Cauxi Eletrizado, points out that the band named after the party rescued some frevos from the beginning of the block.
“These are frevos that we stop playing over time, after all, we have been in the group for more than 10 years and we replace songs from the beginning with new ones, but, every now and then, an old one comes in”,
comments the singer.
Initiative
Rafael Ângelo, guitarist of Alaídenegão and co-founder of Cauxi Eletrizado, says that the block’s proposal was to create concert opportunities for Alaídenegão, Cabocrioulo and Os Tucumanus.
“This time of year, January and February, was very quiet for original bands and we had the idea of creating the block to fit into this Carnival circuit”, says the organizer.
Cauxi Eletrizado has already visited places such as Assinpa (Association of Servers of Inpa), Assua (Association of Servers of the Federal University of Amazonas) and Arena da Amazônia.
