Carlo Ancelotti takes over the Brazilian national team only in June 2024

Carlo Ancelotti has a verbal agreement signed with the Brazilian Football Confederation to take over Brazilian Team in 2024. In practically all of them, Ancelotti was crowned champion of expressive titles in European football. But certainly, his most prominent passages were at Real Madrid, his current club.

For the merengue team, he was champion of the Spanish Championship (2021/22), twice of the Copa del Rey (2013/14 and 2021/22), of the Spanish Super Cup (2022/22), twice of the Champions League (2013/ 14 and 2021/22), twice in the UEFA Super Cup (2013/14 and 2021/22) and, finally, twice won the Club World Cup (2014 and 2023).

Due to his more offensive style and ability to enhance young players, Ancelotti is seen as the option that best fits the Brazilian national team. The coach develops a game mainly of controlling actions, in which speed and possession of the ball are priorities, exactly what the CBF leaders are looking for to command Amarelinha.

Regarding individual achievements, the Italian coach has already been awarded several times. In 2007 and 2014, he was considered the best coach in the world by the International Federation of Football Histories and Statistics (IFFHS). In 2019, he was on the list of the 10 greatest coaches in football history made by France Football magazine.

This Tuesday (13), the soap opera between the Brazilian national team and Carlo Ancelotti won another chapter. The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, was present at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to promote an anti-racist event and showed that there was no withdrawal to hire the Italian.
