Capoerista from Amapá Luiz Henrique Andrade, 17 years old, won two medals at the Copa Cajuína de Capoeira, held in Teresina, the biggest event in the segment in the north and northeast regions, bringing together more than 400 athletes. In the 2023 edition, Tucuju Luiz achieved third place in the intermediate category and won the award for best game at the Benguela rhythm.
The competition was held at the Sarah Menezes Fighting Gym and had the participation of athletes from the states of Amapá, Maranhão, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Pará and São Paulo. The 16th edition of the Copa Cajuína was held by Mestre Touro, as Georde Fredson Rocha Serra is known, current president of the Associação Cultural de Capoeira Raízes do Brasil in Piauí.
