Calleri reveals that he will have surgery after São Paulo won the Copa do Brasil

Striker Jonathan Calleri revealed that he will undergo ankle surgery in the coming days. Without giving further details about his physical problem, the São Paulo player also stated that he has been playing in sacrifice since March, with more conservative treatment there. Neither the player nor the São Paulo club gave a date for the future operation. If the surgery takes place in the next few days, the Argentine striker should no longer play for São Paulo in the current season – he has a contract with the Brazilian club until December 2026.
