Caio André highlights gains from the CPI of Águas de Manaus for the population

The president of the CMM requested the speed of the 2nd Committee on Constitution, Justice and Writing, so that it could consider the matter as soon as possible

Manaus (AM) – On the morning of this Tuesday (20th), during the Grand Expedient at the City Council of Manaus (CMM), the president of the House, councilor Caio André (PSC), used the tribune of the Adriano Jorge plenary to discuss the Draft Resolution of final report of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) of Águas de Manaus.

Caio André highlighted the relevance of the project for the conclusion of the work of the CPI. The president of the CMM requested the speed of the 2nd Committee on Constitution, Justice and Writing, so that it could consider the matter as soon as possible, and for it to return to the plenary session and be voted on by the councilors.

“This is the result of what the population of Manaus complained so much about the way in which the Águas de Manaus company’s service was carried out. The company was used to damaging the city’s asphalt and now, with the Term of Adjustment, which is the result of the CPI, Águas de Manaus has to justify how it will carry out these repairs. This is one of the benefits brought by the CPI to the Manaus population”,

said Caio André.

“Now we have a document that says how the asphalt replacement in the city of Manaus should be, in the same way and with the same quality that the ‘Asfalta Manaus’ program has carried out”,

continued the alderman.

The president of the CMM gave part of his time to the president of the CPI of Águas de Manaus, councilor Diego Afonso (União Brasil), who reinforced the importance of the CPI and highlighted the Commission’s services for the population of Manaus as positive.

“It is a cycle that will end with the approval of the Draft Resolution by the councilors. I would like to thank all the necessary technical structure that CMM made available for the CPI to run as smoothly as possible. The conquests came and this was always the only intention of the commission, to benefit the people of Manaus”,

said Diego Afonso.

Draft Resolution

On Monday (19), the Draft Resolution was deliberated by the councilors of the Manaus City Council (CMM). Approved by all the councilors present, the Draft Resolution was forwarded to the 2nd Committee on Constitution, Justice and Writing of the CMM.
