Bringing together athletes from Rio and other states, Mato Grosso do Sul hosts the MS International Jiu-Jitsu Cup in February

Valid for the fourth stage of the Circuito Nacional Mineirinho de Jiu-Jitsu Desportivo da CBJJD – which makes its debut in the 2022/23 season -, the MS International Cup will open the Circuito MS calendar on February 11, in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso Big South. Organized by the South Matogrossense Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FSMJJ), the event will also count points towards the national ranking, which rewards champions with international tickets.
President of the FSMJJ, Fábio Rocha commented on his expectations for the tournament, which has open enrollment (learn more), and showed excitement: “With the inclusion of two events from the national ranking of the CBJJD here in Mato Grosso do Sul, we believe that the ranking of our state will also gain more strength and grow at a technical level”, said Fábio, who also left a message for athletes interested in participating in the event:
“With the large number of new athletes affiliated to the FSMJJ in these last 15 days, we can already expect crowded events, worthy of the quality and structure of the CBJJD”.
Rogério Gavazza, president of the Brazilian Sports Jiu-Jitsu Confederation, highlighted the scope of the Mineirinho National Circuit, which will tour Brazil throughout the season.
“We have athletes from Rio de Janeiro, including children, enrolled in the MS International Cup and in the New Talent Challenge. This expansion of our circuit to other states, such as Brasília, Pará, Mato Grosso do Sul and Vitória, greatly increases competition and, consequently, the level of competitions”.
