The K1 Cross modality will debut as an Olympic modality at the Paris 2024 Games.
“I’m here with an unprecedented silver, it was a tough competition from start to finish, it was very exhausting and leaving the race with this medal is an incredible feeling, thanks again to everyone who cheered for me”said Sátila, world champion in the category in 2018 and current champion at the Pan American Games.
With the silver this Sunday (4), the Brazilian already has five medals in stages of the World Cup. The competitions in Europe serve as a preparation for the World Cup, in London (England), in September, which will distribute six spots per gender in the K1 competition.
The next stage of the World Cup starts on Friday (9) in Prague (Theca Republic). In addition to Ana Sátila, the Brazilian delegation includes athletes Mathieu Desnos, Kauã da Silva, Omira Estácia and Pedro Henrique Gonçalves.
