Brazilian football is experiencing a serious technical and administrative crisis

The most recent embarrassment caused by the early elimination of Flamengo, in the Club World Cup in Morocco, only serves to confirm that Brazilian football has been experiencing a serious technical and administrative crisis for many years.
On the technical side, just check the failures of the Brazilian team – five times world champion – that left bad memories in the last five cups.
Without forgetting, of course, the supreme humiliation that represented the 7 to 1 applied by Germany, in the 2014 World Cup, in the Mineirão.
Having lost the Copa América to Argentina, in 2021, in the middle of Maracanã, the worn-out CBF was unable to see the seriousness of the problem, keeping coach Tite and the team’s base for the next failure, materialized in the Qatar Cup in 2022.
With a generation of unintelligent and creative coaches; exhibitionist players, mostly intoxicated by high and unreal salaries; vain directors, more concerned with money than with the technical success of the teams, cannot even organize a decent and rational National League of Clubs.
Football was mirrored in the politics of the country that is experiencing a hysterical democracy because it has escaped the control of the most intelligent men and has become a mere fanatic’s mouth. The aim of corrupt politicians is to keep the people in alarm waiting for the next savior leader.
Without solid parties, with public electoral funds and an inexplicable re-election for the highest executive positions in the country, Brazilians have elected the most mediocre in society.
Football, with the moral wear and tear suffered by the CBF – Brazilian Football Confederation – in the last twenty years and with poor management at clubs, has become a mere supplier of players to supply teams in Europe and other continents.
With clubs transformed into for-profit corporations, receiving financial contributions from investors and international corporations, fans are perplexed in the face of so many failures on the field and worried about the future.
