Brazil thrashes Chile and heads towards the Women’s World Cup – 7/2/2023 – Sport

On Sunday (2), the Brazilian team played its farewell match to Brazil before heading to the Women’s World Cup. Celebrated in front of the public at the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília, Pia Sundhage’s men easily beat Chile by 4-0.

Gabi Nunes, Duda Sampaio, Luana and Geyse scored the goals for the quiet victory, but no ball in the net was as celebrated as Marta’s entrance. The 37-year-old playmaker was activated in the 29th minute of the second half, to the delight of the 15,892 spectators present.

The second goal was also a header, scored by Duda Sampaio, at 29, with assistance from Antonia. The third was not a header, but came from another cross. Luana had the upper hand at the entrance to the area and landed a good shot with her right foot.

The strategy was working and was maintained after the break. At five minutes of the final stage, it was Geyse’s turn to use his forehead to swing the net. Tamires, precisely, was responsible for the air pass.
