Brazil scores 3-1 in Ecuador and advances to the quarterfinals of the Under 17 World Cup – News of Brazil

The Brazilian Under 17 team took another step towards winning the fifth world championship in the category. This Monday (29), the team qualified for the quarter-finals, after beating Ecuador 3-1, at the Manahan Stadium, in Surakarta (Indonesia). A standout at the World Cup, striker Estêvão scored twice and Luighi scored Brazil’s third. On the opposing side, Bermúdez scored for the Ecuadorians.
Brazil returns to the field on Friday (24), at 9 am (Brasília time), against the winner of the duel Argentina x Venezuela, scheduled for 9 am on Tuesday (21).
“We knew how to score goals, take advantage of our moment in the game, we suffered a little. But Brazil is like that: a very strong, competitive game. We showed all our strength, we competed from the beginning to the end and we will always fight until the end”assured the attacker Stephen, shortly after classification, in a statement to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
