Brazil received this Friday (20) more than 7 million doses of vaccines against Covid-19 from Pfizer for children aged 6 months to 11 years old. Earlier this month, the Ministry of Health reported that the stock of pediatric immunizers was exhausted. According to the folder, the new shipment is part of the additive, of 50 million doses, negotiated with the laboratory.

Delivery is divided into two batches: the first of 7.2 million, which arrived this Friday, and the second of 550,000 doses, due to arrive on Saturday (21). In this shipment, 3.2 million doses are for children aged 5 to 11 years and 4.5 million units are for the age group 6 months to 4 years. The lots disembark at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (SP).

Vaccines will be analyzed by the National Institute for Quality Control in Health (INCQS) and distributed to all states and the Federal District in the coming days, the ministry said.
