Manaus (AM) – The Copa do Brasil will start for Manauara EC and Amazonas FC, teams that represent Amazonian football in the competition in 2024. This Wednesday (21), Robô da Amazônia hosts Retrô-PE at the Carlos Zamith stadium, at 3:30 pm ( Manaus time), in the East Zone of the capital of Amazonas, for the first phase of the tournament. The Jaguar, in turn, visits Independente-AP at the Zerão stadium, in Macapá (AP), at 7:30 pm (Manaus time).
To advance, the scenarios are different for each team. Manauara plays as home team and, therefore, qualifies for the next phase only in case of victory; Retrô-PE, in turn, only needs a draw to return to Pernambuco with the classification. Amazonas, who plays as a visitor, has the advantage of the draw against Independente-AP.
Football newcomers from Baré, Amazonas and Manauara made the final of the 2023 Amazonense Championship. In that decision, the Jaguar prevailed and won 1-0 on aggregate, with a goal from Luan Santos, who is no longer in the Aurinegra team. – the first match ended 0-0. With places in the decision, both teams guaranteed qualification for this year’s Copa do Brasil.
In addition to the Copa do Brasil, Amazonas still competes in Series B in the following season, another debut scheduled for 2024. Manauara is trying for a place in Series C through Series D. Both play in the State Championship and will also represent Amazonian football in the Copa Verde.

For fans interested in supporting Manauara, tickets for the match will be on sale at the Zamith box office from 1:30 pm. Ticket prices cost R$30 (full) and R$15 (half). According to guidance from the Amazon Football Federation (FAF), children up to 12 years old, the elderly (over 65 years old) and PWDs do not pay.
In three years of founding, this is the first time that Robot da Amazônia will play in the competition. Completing a week in charge, the Amazon Robot coach, Alan George, evaluated the preparation period.
“It was a very important week for our work, as we got to know the cast. We have to be studying the opposing team and seeking as much information as possible, but everything is on track, thank God”, said Alan.

Onça, who will play in the final of the first round of Barezão 2024 against São Raimundo, after passing through Nacional, is already thinking about its debut in the Copa do Brasil, without much time to celebrate classification.
