Boulos deletes post that recognized increase in income under Bolsonaro and Temer administrations

The federal deputy and pre-candidate for Mayor of São Paulo, Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), deleted a publication from the social network and Michel Temer (MDB). Published on January 17, 2024, the content is no longer available on the parliamentarian’s social network.

The publication made in a critical tone, in fact, showed the increase in the population’s income during previous governments.

“Bolsonaro catastrophe. The income of the richest 0.01% (just 15 thousand people!) in Brazil soared by 96% between 2017 and 2022. The income of the vast majority (95%) of the population rose by just 33%, according to FGV. This only reinforces our fight against obscene social inequality in our country”, wrote Boulos.

When commenting on the publication, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) thanked Boulos for his “sincerity”.

“I would like to thank Bolos for his sincerity in explaining that income distribution advanced during our administration, even though this was not his intention and he deleted the post shortly afterwards”, said Bolsonaro on the social network X, this Thursday (18).

Several social media profiles criticized Boulos for deleting the post.

“Why did you delete the post, Boulos? Just because you didn’t realize that you admitted that income rose during this period? 33%? What a catastrophe”, said a profile on the social network X in a tone of irony.
