A 6m² station developed by USP with support from the Ministry of Health could be a solution for implementing teleexpertise in the country, says the Minister of Social Security, Carlos Lupi, who assesses that the project has the potential to attract parliamentary amendments and be taken to states and municipalities.

Lupi visited this Wednesday (1st) the Integrated Telehealth and Wellbeing Station, located on the Ceilândia Campus of UnB (University of Brasília).

According to the minister, the module is an alternative for implementing teleexpertise in the country, authorized in a project approved by the Senate this Wednesday. This is expected to happen by the end of February, according to Lupi.

The minister wants to take the station for a demonstration in committees of the Chamber of Deputies, to convince parliamentarians to allocate resources for the implementation of the modules in states where the queue is longer, especially in the interior and difficult to access places.

The cabin has four cameras and accessibility features. “Together with joint efforts, the solution could contribute not only to reducing the time for in-person assistance for INSS policyholders, but also to completing requests accumulated in recent years. Our goal is to complete the queue within a period of up to 45 days” , says Lupi.
