Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) participated, this Friday (2nd), in a military ceremony in São Paulo alongside Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans). After the event, when asked by journalists about President Lula’s decision to nominate Cristiano Zanin Martins for the position of Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Bolsonaro did not criticize Zanin’s name and only said: “The nomination is from exclusive competence of the President.

Zanin’s name was confirmed by President Lula this Thursday (1). A PT lawyer since 2013, Zanin has become the greatest symbol of the rise and fall of Operation Lava Jato, but in the opposite direction. The organization Transparency International criticized the appointment of the lawyer who is a personal friend of Lula and deputies also filed a lawsuit to bar Zanin’s name.

Bolsonaro also did not linger when he spoke about the impeachment of the federal deputy mandate of Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR). “I haven’t said anything so far and I’m going to keep not talking.”

The former president arrived in São Paulo, this Thursday (1), where he underwent routine exams. At night, he watched a match between São Paulo Futebol Clube and Sport Recife, at the Morumbi stadium, where he was greeted by shouts of support and boos from the crowd.
