Marcos do Val even said that Bolsonaro tried to coerce him into a coup d’état. Later, however, the senator told the PF that this did not happen and that the former president only heard Silveira’s alleged plan.
In June, Moraes decided that the former president and the former deputy should be heard in the unfolding of this investigation. Also last month, Do Val was the target of a search and seizure by the PF as part of the investigation into the acts of January 8. The operation was authorized by Moraes.
