Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) denied the accusations made by Senator Marcos do Val. The parliamentarian accused the former representative of planning a coup d’état and wanting to record Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The statements were given by Bolsonaro at a press conference, this Wednesday afternoon (12), after the testimony to the Federal Police (PF).
“Nothing happened on December 8th. Also because I had no connection with Marcos do Val. I never received him in an audience. Perhaps a photograph, which is very common for us to happen. I had no plans at that meeting of approximately 20 minutes,” said the former president.
Bolsonaro was summoned to give testimony to the PF in the inquiry that investigates the senator’s statements about an alleged attempted coup d’état. The hearing was authorized by Moraes, on June 16.
With the new testimony, the former president has already accumulated four hearings to the Federal Policy. The first was on April 5, in the case of jewelry received as a gift from Saudi Arabia. The second took place on the 26th of the same month, having as its theme the acts of January 8th. The third was held on May 16, which sought to investigate alleged fraud in its vaccine card.
