Bolsonaro claims Carla Zambelli betrayed him and made a deal with Moraes

The former president, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), said that former ally and federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL) betrayed his trust and made an agreement with the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes. The treaty between the two would be to unblock Zambeli’s social networks, according to the former chief executive’s interlocutors.

According to sources close to the former president interviewed privately by the column, Bolsonaro had already raised distrust after his defeat to Lula (PT) last year, but said he was sure of the betrayal when Moraes released Zambelli’s access to social networks. The fact, according to these interlocutors, confirmed to Bolsonaro that there was an agreement between the parliamentarian and the magistrate, considered his enemy.

It is worth remembering that during the PL dinner, Bolsonaro and Zambelli argued at the table they were at. The theme of the clash, however, was not revealed at that time. The discussion was confirmed by Zambelli after the event. The deputy claimed, however, that Bolsonaro’s irritation was with the topic of the conversation and not with her.

Still according to the columnist, these sources close to the former president had been considering Bolsonaro’s opinion as exaggerated, but revised their point of view after the Zambelli interview published on the night of this Wednesday, the 22nd by the newspaper. In the conversation, the deputy criticizes Bolsonaro and reveals an attempt at dialogue with Moraes.

She even admits, at a certain point, that she abandoned guidelines that were dear to Bolsonarism, such as the impeachment of the minister or the narrative that there was fraud in the polls, after having access to her social networks returned. She also says that she will no longer attack Moraes and even signals a kind of attempt to unite with the minister to act together against the PT. Her target now, she says, will be Lula.

“I had the role of defending Bolsonaro and the government, anyone who attacked them had to become my target. In this legislature, Bolsonaro is no longer president, so our target has to be Lula, his deeds and misdeeds,” said Zambelli to the newspaper.

Then she details the nod she made to the magistrate. “I called [para Alexandre de Moraes] and sent an email. A few days later my hammock was returned, it may have been a gesture. I am at his disposal to talk. Because he’s going to be a PT target in a little while. The PT will not be content with nominating only the two ministers who will retire”.
