Bolsonaro becomes an example in the guide ‘How not to be an asshole’ – 03/10/2023 – Panel

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was included in the book “Como não ser um babaca”, released by Sindilegis, which represents the servants of the Legislative Power, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The publication sets out to irreverently teach men to avoid “well-intentioned jokes”.

Especially in an environment that is still predominantly male, such as politics, such aggressions are still seen as jokes. The book will be available for free download from Amazon.

The second version of the guide, released now, mentions two speeches by the former president in a chapter called “About unbelievable bullshit”, dedicated to a kind of test.

The first is Bolsonaro’s aggression against deputy Maria do Rosário (PT-RS), when he was still in the Chamber.

“She doesn’t deserve to be raped because she’s very ugly. I’m not a rapist, but if I were, I wouldn’t rape her because she doesn’t deserve it”, said the then parliamentarian.

The book offers two context options, for the reader to choose the true one: “during the colonization invasion” or “in full National Congress”.

The second was given by Bolsonaro already in the Presidency, regarding the characteristics of tourism in Brazil. “Anyone who wants to come here and have sex with a woman, feel free,” he said, after stating that the country could not be a paradise for gay tourism.

The book asks whether the speech was made in “1980, in a bar in Rio de Janeiro” or “in the last decade, delivered by a president, at an official event”.
