Bolsonaro accidentally deletes his WhatsApp channel

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) announced this Sunday afternoon (29), through his account on X, formerly Twitter, that he had accidentally deleted his new WhatsApp group, used to share daily information with his supporters. At around 4pm, he acknowledged the error, claiming he “didn’t know how to use new internet tools properly”. In this way, Bolsonaro ended up, by mistake, taking the channel off the air on the instant messaging platform, losing 81 thousand followers.
After apologizing to the forum members, Bolsonaro stated that it was technically impossible to recover the channel and, therefore, announced its restart, asking them to help him publicize what happened and share the link published in his post on X. In less than Half an hour after encouraging the return of followers and the arrival of others to the new version of the channel, he already had more than 5 thousand registered subscribers.
In just 15 minutes after creating the new WhatsApp group, two video messages were posted to it. One of them satirized the current silence of celebrities who had criticized the fires in the Amazon during his presidential administration. In another video, the former president shared the report of a supporter who claimed to have been prevented by left-wing activists from participating in a discussion at the Central Student Directory (DCE) of the State University of Londrina (UEL), in Paraná.
The former president is one of the politicians with the most followers on digital platforms in the world, in order: Instagram (25.3 million), Facebook (15 million), X (11.6 million), YouTube (6.4 million), TikTok (5.5 million) and Telegram (2 million).
